Time Travel

I'm only kind of back to say that I'm reading The Time Machine & it makes my life feel lackluster. How did H.G. Wells ever imagine this magical world of his? You should read it, right now. Go ahead, I'll wait.

It only makes sense that The War of the Worlds is read next. I'm half-tempted to walk to the library in the rain to get it in my grasp.

one of my favorites!!! isn't he amazing? a few weeks ago sean was posting a bunch of h.g. wells quotes on facebook and saying how they would totally get along if he were still alive.

and yes, you should read "the war of the worlds." it's almost completely different from the movie with tom cruise. also, fun fact:

"The War of the Worlds was an episode of the American radio drama anthology series Mercury Theatre on the Air. It was performed as a Halloween episode of the series on October 30, 1938 and aired over the Columbia Broadcasting System radio network. Directed and narrated by actor and filmmaker Orson Welles, the episode was an adaptation of H. G. Wells' novel The War of the Worlds.

The first two thirds of the 60-minute broadcast were presented as a series of simulated "news bulletins", which suggested to many listeners that an actual alien invasion by Martians was currently in progress."
